I don’t know about that but my Nikon’s can be set to take BW images.

Yes. That’s normally what I would do. Pentax, for example, has a monochrome camera. The big difference is that the sensor itself only records monochrome images. There is no colour filter at all. Apparently this makes it quite different to just converting a colour image to BW like most cameras fo.

I didn’t know Pentax makes a BW camera, nice! I usually use the HDR app and change the saturation.

It’s the Pentax K3 Mark3 Monochrome. Apparently quite excellent. Cheaper than the Leica Monochrom!
